I love my husband!

I sang in a wedding this past weekend and it made me think about my wedding day.  November 23, 2003 was one of the best days of my life.  That day I married my best friend.  He gets/knows/understands me.  I am pretty sure that I get him too. (lol).  Anyhow…anyone who was there remembers that it was such a beautiful day.  I believe it was in the 60’s that day and I know it was a clear sky all day!  The next day, when we woke up, there was snow on the ground.  I thank God for such a blessed day!  We had our family and friends there and those same family and friends have been there when we need to talk.  We have grown so much together!  It’s amazing!

I understand that some of you see the outer appearance and think that EVERY aspect of our lives is 100% okay.  But I will tell you that’s not true.  There are many things that I can do different, as well as he can do different.  But God has blessed us, our relationship, and our family.  We put our lives into His hands and He has kept us.  We love each other and I know I keep falling in love over and over again.  It’s amazing to think that some of our friends look at us and see inspiration (we have been told that before).  I guess with the divorce rate being really high, especially for those who marry younger than 25, almost 9 years is a long time.  He was 22 and I was 21 when we got married.

Now as in all marriages, there are days where I think….ooohhhh he gets on my nerves.  Usually those are the days where I think the garbage should have been taken out and it wasn’t, or a cup/plate/bowl is left out for me to have to put up.  I know that ther are times when I get on his nerves.  We are your normal couple with our ups and our downs, but we have learned that we have to work things out.  It’s not always going to be easy to talk about things, but being honest and being open  makes things so much easier.  If we know what is going on with each other, then we can figure it out together.  Back to the title of my blog post…

I have a God-fearing, God-loving, caring, humble, man who loves me and who loves our children.  He prays and he talks to God. He asks Him for help and nows and understands that he is not in this world alone.  My husband makes me happy, makes me smile, makes me laugh.  He has never hit me or cheated on me.  He has never put me down and has never told me that I couldn’t do something.  It’s just about always positive words, and when they are not, they are said out of love.  He talks with me and he listens (truly listens) and gives his honest opinion when I ask.  I know how blessed I am because I have seen people have worse.  I thank God for my husband.

I love my husband!
